Bariatric Surgery – Bariatric Surgery is performed on people suffering with obesity. This is a weight loss procedure, also known as weight loss surgery. There are different Bariatric Surgeries:

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy – Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy is also called Vertical sleeve gastrectomy or gastric sleeve procedure. This is a restrictive procedure.  In this procedure a part of the stomach is removed with the purpose of restricting food intake. 

Laparoscopic Gastroplasty – Laparoscopic Gastroplasty is also a surgical procedure performed to decrease the size of the stomach.  In this procedure, stitches are used to reduce the the stomach size by about 60-70% of the existing size.

Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass – Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass is also called Gastric Bypass Surgery is a weight loss surgery. The stomach is divided into a small upper pouch and large lower pouch.

Intragastric Balloon Placement – Intragastric Balloon Placement is a non-surgical procedure for weight loss. A balloon is placed into the stomach for a period of 6-8 months to limit the intake of food. Intragastric Balloon can be placed endoscopically or there are Swallowable Gastric Balloons.
