പൈൽസ് രോഗലക്ഷണങ്ങളും ചികിത്സയും അറിയേണ്ടതെല്ലാം. നാണക്കേട് ഭയന്ന് പലരും പുറത്തുപറയാൻ പോലും മടി കാട്ടുന്ന ഒരു രോഗമാണ് പൈൽസ് അഥവാ മൂലക്കുരു. മലദ്വാരത്തിലെയും മലാശയത്തിലെയും സിരകള്‍ വികസിക്കുന്നതും പിന്നെ പൊട്ടി രക്തമൊഴുകുന്നതുമായ അവസ്ഥയാണു പൈല്‍സ്. ഇതു മലദ്വാരത്തിനകത്തു മാത്രമുള്ള രീതിയിലും പുറത്തേക്കു തള്ളുന്ന രീതിയിലും വരാം. അകത്തുമാത്രമുള്ളവയില്‍ രക്തസ്രാവമുണ്ടാകുമെങ്കിലും വേദന കുറവായിരിക്കും.വേദനയും ചൊറിച്ചിലും രക്തസ്രാവവുമൊക്കെയായി പൈൽസിന്റെ (അർശസ്സ്/മൂലക്കുരു) അസ്വാസ്ഥ്യങ്ങൾ ചെറുതല്ല. പൈൽസിനു നാലു ഘട്ടങ്ങൾ ആണ് ഉള്ളത് .
