Orthodontic Treatment

Orthodontics specializes in straightening the teeth and aligning the bite.   Braces are used to straighten, align, and adjust gaps in their teeth, alter the position and alignment of teeth within the jaw, repositioning teeth that are too close together or crowded. The role of the braces is to gradually shift the teeth into the desired positions over time.  A combination of brackets, bands and wires are used for this purpose.  Depending on the needs, different types of braces can be used.  This includes traditional metal braces or clear (ceramic) braces.

Metal Brackets

Metal Brackets are the small metal fixtures that are bonded to each tooth.  They remain on the teeth until the treatment is completed.

Ceramic Brackets

Ceramic brackets use clear or tooth-colored brackets rather than gray or metallic silver brackets.

Aligners

Aligners are plastic replicas of your teeth.  They help move the teeth a little at a time bringing the teeth into position.
